I though of my ideas by thinking what was small but would show emphasis by its color, that is how I came up with the ant on the leaf. I showed emphasis by having the ant be a bold red with the green leafs as it's background with the blue. The medium I chose was paint because I wanted to get the right colors for the leaf and the blue background. Also I thought it would be easier to create the colors I needed. I did not take any risks I just stayed with what I knew and it turned out okay. Of the five characteristics of art I chose to include concept because you are not sure what the blue background is. It could be floating on water or falling from a tree, it's your interpretation.
